📋 About This Mod

Part of the Faces of Vel mod series.

"Faces of Vel" is a series of mods by yours truly, designed to expand on the world of Morrowind by adding some lore-relevant or just atmospheric landmarks, peoples etc., drawing inspiration from Morrowind concept arts, lesser known lore and, of course, my own vision of this harsh but beautiful land itself.

It is, in that regard, quite similar to Melchior Dahrk's amazing Of Ash And Blight mod series, albeit on a much smaller, pinpoint scale. I sincerely hope that anyone who likes OAAB mods would also enjoy FoV.

For the first few entries, I will be returning back to my old mods and refitting them into this new mod series. I also have some completely new ones in works already, so stay tuned!

Ash Mire

Adds a large mud pit in the foyada south of Bthuand and Zergonipal.

In the vanilla game the foyada doesn't have a name and there was absolutely nothing of interest there, not even a single dungeon or mine or anything. So, I decided to add at least a somewhat unique landscape feature.

Watch the skies.

Adds a large mud pit in the foyada south of Bthuand and Zergonipal. A simple location mod for Morrowind players seeking new environmental details. With 439 endorsements and over 56k downloads, it has a solid following despite its minimal description.

  • Lightweight addition—no complex scripts or dependencies mentioned.

⚠️ Cons

  • Description is extremely thin—no details on what the mud pit contains or how it integrates with the world.
  • Last updated in March 2020—may not be compatible with recent Morrowind mod setups or patches.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Morrowind explorers who want to discover new landmarks in familiar areas. If you're a completionist looking for every nook and cranny, this adds a small point of interest. Skip if you want substantial gameplay changes—this is a minor environmental addition.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a Morrowind mod, ensure you have the Morrowind Code Patch or OpenMW for stability, though not required.
  • Place the mod in your Data Files folder and activate it in the launcher or mod manager.
  • Visit the foyada south of Bthuand and Zergonipal to see the mud pit—use in-game map or console commands to teleport if needed.
