This system subtracts your armor rating from the damage received, meaning the damage you take is reduced by your armor rating.
It works for NPCs as well, and the minimum damage is 1.
The damage calculation needs to be reevaluated, or otherwise, you won’t take much damage at all.
It’s a simple calculation
Instead of the original formula:
Min(1 + Target's Armor Rating / Damage ; 4)
