This mod adds several balanced and lore-friendly spells based on blood magic that can be used by Berne vampires. The mod uses spells with (sort of) built-in scripts but has been developed in a way that has almost no impact (or no impact at all) on performance. It should be compatible with any other mod that modifies vampires.
Remember that with my mod Traitor among Vampires, you can obtain an amulet that emulates the appearance and characteristics of a vampire of any race in a lore-friendly way (in my opinion, of course), without needing a complete transformation.
There are two ways for using this mod: The first one is using the "Innate Knowledge" patch (check dependencies), which automatically adds the spells to the Nerevarine while he is a Berne vampire. The second, and more balanced option, involves purchasing the spells from the vampire Reberio in the Galom Daeus' Observatory, the Berne's Clan's lair. The spells are extremely expensive (as they are also very powerful) and the vampire will only provide them if her disposition is at maximum.
Here is a complete list of the added spells and powers:
- []Berne’s Shadow (spell): This spell grants the caster full chameleon invisibility, along with a boost to Speed and Sneak for one minute. The catch? It constantly drains your health. The effect ends when the Nerevarine is on the brink of death (but not quite dead) or when a dispel spell is cast.
- []Fortify Luck (spell): This spell can be cast up to three times, each stacking to boost the player’s Luck by up to 60 total, but at a cost. Every cast drains 15% of your maximum health while the effect remains active. Any attempt to heal beyond the new health limit will simply fizzle out. The health reduction from this spell stacks with similar effects from other enchantments, such as detection spells.
-
[]Berne’s Perception (spell): This spell works much like the previous one, granting a constant Detect Magic, Detect Animal, and Detect Key effect within an 80-foot radius at the cost of 10% of your maximum health. It can be strengthened up to three times, extending the detection range to 240 feet while draining up to 30% of your maximum health. As with Fortify Luck, the health reduction stacks with similar effects, so if both spells are used at full power, your maximum health would be reduced to 25% (100% base - 30% from Perception - 45% from Luck).
[
]Human Appearance (spell): The Nerevarine can conceal their vampiric nature, appearing fully human. The price, however, is steep: a 90% reduction to maximum health, so, this spell should only be used when absolutely necessary. I know there are plenty of mods that a
