✦ WHAT IS SAVE KEEPER? ✦

Serena’s Save Keeper quietly protects your Moonlight Peaks characters by creating automatic backup copies whenever the game updates a save.

There is no menu to manage, no hotkey to remember and no ritual to cast.

Install it once, continue playing normally and Save Keeper will maintain a collection of recent and daily restore points in the background.

It works completely independently, but it is an especially useful companion for Save Anywhere.

  []Performs additional checks when the game loses focus, pauses or closes.[/]

  []Retries failed snapshots instead of silently treating them as completed.[/]

  []Hides incomplete copies so partial folders cannot be mistaken for valid restore points.[/]

  []Never edits or automatically restores your live saves.[/]

  []Works without Save Anywhere or any of my other mods.[/]

  ✦ HOW DOES IT WORK? ✦

  Save Keeper watches the folder where Moonlight Peaks stores its character data.

  Whenever a live save changes, the mod creates a separate snapshot inside its own backup archive.

  Each character receives two collections:

  Recent

  Timestamped copies of your latest save events. These are useful when you need to undo something that happened earlier in the same play session or in-game day.

  Daily

  The first retained snapshot from each in-game day. These provide longer-term restore points for problems that may not become obvious immediately.

  Save Keeper does not modify the game’s saving system and does not add anything to your character data.

  ✦ WHERE ARE MY BACKUPS? ✦

  Press Windows Key + R, paste the following location and press Enter:

  %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Little Chicken Game Company\Moonlight Peaks\_SaveKeeper

  Inside, each character has an individual folder containing:

  The folder names include the in-game day, date and time so restore points are easier to identify.

  ✦ INSTALLATION ✦

  • []Install BepInEx 5 x64 for Moonlight Peaks.[/]

    []Download Serena’s Save Keeper.[/]

    []Extract the archive into your Moonlight Peaks game folder.[/]

    []Confirm that the DLL is located at:[/]

    Moonlight Peaks\BepInEx\plugins\Serenas Save Keeper.dll

    Launch the game and play normally. The first backup will be created after the game next updates your save.

    ✦ RESTORING A BACKUP ✦

    Save Keeper never restores files automatically.

    Restoring is deliberately manual so the mod can never silently roll back your character.

    • []Close Moonlight Peaks completely.[/]

      []Open the

      _SaveKeeperfolder.[/]

      []Choose the character and snapshot you want to restore.[/]

      []Find the matching live character folder under:[/]

      %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Little Chicken Game Company\Moonlight Peaks\<SteamID>\Saves\<SaveGuid>

      • []Make an extra copy of the current live SaveGuid folder before replacing anything.[/]

        []Copy every file from your chosen snapshot into the matching live SaveGuid folder.[/]

        []Allow Windows to replace the existing files.[/]

        []Launch Moonlight Peaks and verify the restored character.[/]

        Never replace save files while the game is running
