Family Friendly Localization Patch

Description

Originally made so I could enjoy MHW alongside my son without constantly explaining why items, skills, or monsters seems to involve demons, devils, or a pantheon of gods. This mod performs a broad text pass across the game, replacing selected terminology while preserving all gameplay, mechanics, progression, and balance.

Installation instructions

Copy Paste the contents of the zip file into your nativePC folder.

Which should be located where your .exe lives

Two main files available. Choose one.

Either V1. 0 Which is a standalone

Or V1. 1 which contains all the files from V1. 0 plus patched files for the mods Clarify and Useful Event Quest Descriptions.

You need to download and install both those mods first in order for the patch to work correctly, otherwise you'll have missing files.

The patch is made for the classic names version of Clarify

Some weapon names (Done), quest board entries (Done), and a small number of remaining text references are still being reviewed and will be updated in future versions as they are identified or reported.
