New World Critical Hits

Give your critical hits the epic impact they deserve!

This mod overhauls critical hit visuals in Monster Hunter: Wilds, making them feel bigger, better and longer. Just like in Monster Hunter: World. Now every crit is visually there instead of forgettable making your victories feel even more satisfying. To see the real difference check out the two videos of unmodded and modded crits on the videos page.

Current working weapons are only with a blade. Other weapons don't work with this mod. Weapons that do work are: Greatsword, SnS, Switch Axe,

Insect Glaive, Longsword, Dual Blades, Gun Lance and Charge Blade. The crit effect only applies when slashing, but not on explosions from Switch Axe for example.

If your critical hits feel too quick or underwhelming, this mod gives them the punch they deserve. Every critical is now bigger better and longer.

Installation:

Choose the color you want and just drop the natives folder in your Monster Hunter Wilds directory.

Use Fluffy Mod Manager

Uninstall:

If using a mod manager just delete it using the manager

If this is your only mod delete the "natives" directory in your Monster Hunter Wilds directory

If you have other mods delete 11_hit_critical_000.efx. 5571972 inside the natives/STM/Art/VFX/EffectEditor/Common/hit directory.
