📋 About This Mod
Update 3/2/2025
I am no longer working on this and I give permission to anyone who wants to use my codebase to update it themselves if they like and upload it as their own mod. I am now working on mods for Monster Hunter Wilds so I won't have time to work on mods for Rise
Description
Inspired by the now outdated mod Infinite Sharpness by oldwaist
Pretty self explanatory mod. Simply sets your current sharpness to be your max sharpness for all melee weapons without changing your sharpness so you retain the same damage as the vanilla sharpness. Should work online.

Bugs
Changelog
1. 3. 1- Fixed issue caused when player had the Sharpness skill
- Added optional support for Custom In-Game Mod Menu
1. 2. 1 - Script now saves whether or not the mod is enabled so it turns on automatically if you enable it and close the game. Should be final update.
1. 2. 0 - Switched mod over to being a script mod. Should be no more issues other than config for the script not saving which I will remedy with a smaller update.
1. 1. 1 - Fixed issue with Switch Axe not having infinite sharpness.
1. 1. 0 - Fixed issue with Gunlance and Switch Axe not having infinite sharpness
1. 0. 0 - Initial Release
TBG's Infinite Sharpness removes sharpness loss from all melee weapons in 7 Days to Die, keeping their values unchanged. It's a simple quality-of-life tweak for players tired of constantly repairing blades, with 642 endorsements and 17,299 downloads.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 642 endorsements and 17k downloads
- Removes the tedious sharpness maintenance without altering weapon stats
- Lightweight and focused—does exactly what it says, nothing more
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in September 2022, so it may not be compatible with the latest game versions
- Removing sharpness loss could make melee combat feel less balanced for survival purists
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter melee weapon durability or sharpness mechanics
For 7 Days to Die players who find sharpness maintenance annoying and want a hassle-free melee experience. Skip if you enjoy the survival management aspect or want more complex weapon overhauls—this is a pure QoL tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're on a multiplayer server, make sure the mod is installed on the server side too, or it won't take effect.
- Since this mod only affects sharpness loss, pair it with other melee balance mods if you want a more comprehensive overhaul.
- Check the mod's file structure—if it's a simple XML edit, you can manually place it in your Mods folder without a mod manager.
