📋 About This Mod
This mod replaces every single melee weapon hitsound in the game with their respective hitsound in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
The mod comes with various folders that let you choose a specific group of weapons if not all of the hitsounds are of your liking!
Mod Includes the following variations:
-
[]All Weapons - Changes every melee weapon in the game, Bowguns and Bow are not included.
[
]HH and Hammer - Changes the Hunting Horn, Hammer and Sword & Shield's Shield Bash, the rest of the weapons are unaffected.[]Gunlance and Lance - Changes the Gunlance and Lance, the rest of the weapons are unaffected.
[]GS SWAXE CB - Changes the Greatsword, SwitchAxe and Charge Blade, the rest of the weapons are unaffected.
[]LS SnS DBS IG - Changes the Longsword, Sword & Shield, Dual Blades and Insect Glaive, the rest of the weapons are unaffected.
The reason the different options of this mod are organized this way is that each of these weapons shares a hitsound with the other.

[]Enjoy!
!!Do not install more than one of the variations of the mod at the same time or it will overwrite itself and not work at all!!
Notes:
-
[]As mentioned before, this mod does not include any sound replacement for Bowguns, Bow, Elemental Hitsounds, Status Hitsounds, or special hitsounds like the SAED or Gunlance Shells, it will only replace melee hit sounds.
[]All hitsounds in this mod are directly ripped from Monster Hunter World's files, but because of the way the game handles hitsounds compared to Sunbreak, there will be some differences, although nothing too noticeable.
[]You will probably notice that the Dual Blades hit sound cuts out a bit earlier than it should during very fast attacks, this is an issue of it sharing the sound with the Longsword and Insect Glaive, so i can't really fix that without ruining the other weapons... Sorry!

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved (477 endorsements) and widely downloaded (11,937 downloads).
- Gives your melee hits that satisfying Iceborne crunch without changing gameplay.
- Lightweight audio swap—no performance hit, just sound.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects melee weapons—ranged players get nothing.
- Sound replacement mods can clash with other audio mods if you stack them.
- Last updated in 2022, so it might not be tested with the latest game patches.
For Monster Hunter: World players who love Iceborne's meaty hit sounds and want that feedback on all melee weapons. If you're a ranged main or prefer the base game's sounds, this isn't for you. It's purely cosmetic audio—no gameplay impact.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Back up your original sound files before replacing them, so you can revert if you don't like the change.
- If you use other sound mods, install this one last to ensure it takes priority.
- Test with a training weapon to hear the difference before heading into a hunt.
