Mewgenics Palette Lab Mod Example

I created Mewgenics Palette Lab so that modders/users can create their own palettes to have more colorful cats!

This mod page is a demonstration on what to do after you download your palette.png from the website.

• []Make sure you have Mewtator downloaded

  []download this mod page's file under downloads

  []replace the palette.png in the file with your new palette.png

  []enable the mod so it's in the modloader

  []launch the game from Mewtator and you should see your cats have different colors from their original

  (v. 1. 0. 1)

  Palette Conflict Fix (New): The game uses a single palette.png for everything; cats, abilities, UI. Some cat palette rows are shared with other things, which meant editing your cat's colors could accidentally recolor fire abilities or the Necromancer HUD. This mod now includes .merge

  files that fix this by redirecting fire abilities to row 202 and the Necromancer HUD to row 203, where the original colors are preserved. So you can edit any cat palette row freely without messing up the rest of the game's visuals.

  Website Updates:

  • []Rows that are shared with abilities/UI now have warning labels in the palette editor so you know which ones they are

  • Class palette rows (Fighter, Hunter, Mage, etc.) are now labeled with their class name

  The website is still being developed, so expect some missing stuff, like under the Palette Editor UI will have "---" in some swatches because I'm still figuring out what swatch applies to what.
