📋 About This Mod

In prep for The Phantom Pain's 10th anniversary, I've been researching and modding this game for the past 6 months to bring in real new content (in the form of new weapons) and meaningful gameplay changes.

Video Showcases:

Disclaimer:

[]Do not use this mod for FOBs (I was only able to add new weapons by borrowing existing FOB weapons. Also not sure how gameplay changes will affect FOBs)

This mod is not Infinite Heaven compatible (too much work. anyone who wants to make this IH compatible is free to do it themselves)

The General TLDR

OSP Overhaul

I love the SUBSISTENCE missions in MGSV, but the variety of stuff you can take from guards was abismaul. I overhauled the entire game so that every mission can be played OSP with endless variety.

  • []Interrogate an enemy once for them to drop a random support weapon. Interrogate them again for a random item (variety increases the more guards you interrogate)[/]

[]Hold up an enemy or pull a knife on them (for those that resist holdups) to have them instantly drop their handgun[/]

[]Alternatively, while crouching, hold the Action button while facing a neutralized guard to pat them down for OSP weapons and equipment. Searching a dieing/dead guard will only yield 1 random piece of equipment instead of 3 [/]

[]Every base gun (and more) can be used by the enemy for players to steal. (This includes weapons that previously were not usable by guards like the double barrel Rasp shotgun, the armor piercing bolt action Brennan, grenade launchers, and more)[/]

[]Press the action button in a cardboard box to update your camo on the fly (camo will match the box. special boxes equip special outfits. read the box's description in-game for details)[/]

[]Reload a weapon with a magazine to add a single empty mag to your support weapons (Infinite empty mags is broken)[/]

[]Outfit Specific abilities for Snake (similar to Peace Walker. read below for details)[/]

[]OSP Tranq guns (read below for details)[/]

[]OPTIONAL: OSP Arms. Enabled by starting a mission with the default red bionic arm (read below for details)[/]

[]OPTIONAL: OSP fultons. Enabled by selecting No Fulton in the mission prep screen (read below for details)[/]

[]OSP Vehicles. Use an ENM to kill armored vehicle drivers. You'll be able to drive them immediately after (a little jank in coding this. for best results, only place 1 ENM at a time)[/]

[]OSP Buddies. If you go in a mission without a buddy, after enough interrogations, there's a chance a guard may drop a Radio. Picking up the Radio will enable a buddy request, allowing you to call in a random buddy via the IDroid. If user already has a buddy, capturing a CP and interrogating an enemy will drop another Radio. Picking up this Radio will return said buddy to the Heli for a random upgrade. From there, use the IDroid again to redeploy them with said upgrades (at no additional GMP cost).[/]

[]Boss fights can also be played OSP as well. Read below for details, or go in blind and figure it out like the good ole days before guides[/]

Dynamic Revenge

The revenge system in MGSV now resets every mission, but also updates on the fly depending on your play style. This can make every mission, including mission 1, extremely difficult if you go in guns a-blazing. But playing stealth heavy makes guards smarter resulting in you being caught easier

[]Every enemy faction now has unique weapons distinct from each other (See table below for specifics)[/]

[]At the start of each mission. Guards have no armor, basic assault rifle/handgun, with a 25% chance of having a random weapon (unless you're playing a mission that only has 1 CP. Then guards start at Level 1. See next line for what Level 1 means)[/]

[]If you trigger the combat phase/capture outposts NOT during the sneaking phase. Guards at other Outposts/CPs will upgrade their equipment. At Level 1, all guards have a random weapon and Body Armor. At Level 2, guards with Riot Gear get Strong Weapons. Outposts give all guards Riot Gear. CPs give 25% of guards Riot Gear[/]

[]If you trigger the alert phase/capture outposts during the sneaking phase. Guards at other Outposts/CPs will have improved AI. I don't know all the in's and
