The problem

The ambient dialogues in the Nexus's docking area are completely messed up.

First, there're several gender and race mismatches.  For example: one human male talking to two women, will use a male, then a female, then a Salarian voice in rapid succession.  It's hilarious, to say the least.

Second, connected dialogue lines are assigned to character models standing in completely different groups of people.

Third, the dialogues are far to loud, which is even worse since they keep repeating over and over again.  Not only is this extremely annoying, but it also often makes it difficult to hear or understand unique or quest related lines.

And to make the nightmare even more complete:  if you have subtitles turned on, you'll be driven mad by all the ambient dialogue lines being displayed at once and overlapping continuously -- no matter how far away the corresponding conversations may be taken place.

The solutions

I first tried to make the dialogue lines play only once per game, but to no avail.

So I came up with two different solutions:

Shut up Folks radically removes all looping ambient dialogues. You won't hear them once. But you've probably already grown sick of them by now and won't miss'em in the slightest.

Keep it down Folks is a tamer solution:

• []It force hides all subtitles belonging to looping lines, unique or quest related dialogue lines will still show.

  []It lowers the volume of all looping lines to a degree that you'll still be able to listen to them when standing nearby, but they won't stalk you and won't interfere with unique or important quest related lines.

  []It removes gender and race mismatches (new in version 2. 0).

  []Looping lines will now only play once per visit (new in version 2. 1).

  Changelog:

  • []v2. 1 makes looping lines now only play once per visit.

    []v2. 0 adds merchants' greetings and hydroponics ambient dialogue and removes gender and race mismatches.
