📋 About This Mod
You should uninstall this and get Legendary Cutscenes (LE1) instead, it includes this mod and does so much more.
So this mod makes them put away their guns on this scene. It always bugged me that Shepard and Kaidan pulled out the Assault Rifles when certain classes aren't trained in that weapon. Also Ashley never had her gun out and after the scene no one had their gun out. They don't have their guns out when they get to the first spot where Ashley thought the beacon was. So why here? This mod makes it so this scene makes sense no matter what class you are or weapon you're trained in.

Master Overkill Fix (LE1) Included in LE1 Community Patch Uninstall this if using LE1 Community Patch it has this fix now so this mod is redundant.
Thank you so much to everyone in the Mass Effect Modding and ME3Tweaks Discord channels. You all were so helpful and inspired me to start making mods. And a special thanks to Knighthawk1895 for teaching me the different types of mods and when they should be used. You're saving a lot of time on future mods.
A tiny story-focused mod for Mass Effect that makes Shepard and Kaidan holster their assault rifles during the first conversation with Ashley. Purely cosmetic, no gameplay changes. Small but dedicated following with 78 endorsements and nearly 2,000 downloads.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Niche fix for immersion lovers—no more awkward gun-waving during a tense conversation.
- Tiny mod, easy to install and remove without messing with your save.
- Community-tested (78 endorsements) and decent download count (1,938).
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects one specific scene—if you're expecting broader holstering fixes, this isn't it.
- May conflict with other mods that alter the same conversation or animation sequences.
For Mass Effect players who care about cinematic immersion and hate seeing Shepard holding a gun during emotional dialogue. Also for modders who want a clean, minimal example of scene tweaking. Skip if you want gameplay changes or broader animation overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like ME3Tweaks Mod Manager, just drop the file in and let it handle the rest.
- Make sure to run the mod after any other mods that touch the same conversation to avoid overwrites.
- Test the scene early—if the guns don't holster, check your load order or reinstall.
