📋 About This Mod
This mod is still under development and may not be 100% functional. Please leave me feedback if you find any aspects to be lacking.
Description:
This mod for ME1 LE removes mouse acceleration from the game. This mod modifies the mouse input script to disable acceleration, as well as disabling the bEnableMouseSmoothing and/or the bUseMouseDampening option.
Compatibility:
This mod should be compatible with nearly all LE1 mods as it uses the new merge format to make edits. Any ini edits that modify the two flags listed above will not take effect with this mod installed. This mod is compatible with all Coalesced.bin edits.
Known Issues:
There appears to be a large gap between UI mouse sensitivity and gameplay mouse sensitivity with mouse dampening disabled. I am investigating a potential fix.
Installation:
You must install this mod with ME3Tweaks Mod Manager version 7. 0 or above. Manual installation is not possible, and lower versions of the mod manager will not work. Drag and drop the . 7z file into the Mod Manager window. Import, and then install the mod. You will be prompted to select an option upon installation.
You can install the mod again to re-apply, change options, or uninstall. This mod should be able to be installed at any time, including after texture mods.
Uninstallation:
The proper way to uninstall this mod is to restore your LE1 Engine.pcc file from a backup. If you would simply like to reverse any of the
changes applied by this mod, install the mod again through the mod manager and select the "Re-enable Mouse Acceleration" option. This will leave any other changes to Engine.pcc intact.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved (1,072 endorsements) — clearly fixes a real annoyance for many players
- Huge download count (42,596) shows it's widely used and trusted
- Does exactly what it says — no bloat, just removes mouse acceleration
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2021 — may not be compatible with the latest game patches
- Only addresses mouse acceleration; no other aiming tweaks included
For Mass Effect Legendary Edition players who use a mouse and find the default acceleration throws off their aim. If you're a precision shooter fan or just want more consistent mouse movement, this is a must-have. Skip if you play with a controller or don't notice acceleration.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to place the mod files in the correct directory (usually the game's executable folder) — check the mod's comments for user-shared install paths.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex, you can install it manually by dragging the files into the mod's staging folder.
- Test in-game by moving your mouse in a circle — if it feels consistent, the mod is working.
