📋 About This Mod
Are you sick of ugly Cerberus troopers?
Canon Armour Changes
The Mass Effect trilogy has a style that really made it stand out against the crowd. The sleek, futuristic design mixed with the hard sci-fi of old was unique at the time, but unfortunately Bioware decided to abandon this for the third game when they made Cerberus into an enemy faction.
Once Cerberus represented the pinnacle of human technology, but their sleek gear was replaced by armour that was dull, bulky, and very similar to what you would see in Gears-of-War. The reason for this change is not known, but now you can restore the original aesthetic that Cerberus had in Mass Effect 2.
The Assault Trooper, Centurion and Guardian enemies have had their armours corrected to match the Mass Effect 2 design, but also to match the lore. Each of these enemies have been paired with an armour set (used by Shepard in ME2/3) that matches their role on the battlefield.
Additional Enemies
Alongside the canon armour changes, I have also made it so the Dragoon from OT's MP mode is now fighting alongside Cerberus on a few missions, as do the Rampart Mechs. Adjutants will be spotted on two missions, but only if you make a certain decision while playing Spectre Expansion Mod. Additionally, there are three named enemy agents to fight that are taken from background lore, novels or the mobile phone games.
Additionally, a new enemy has been added to part of Omega DLC, but I won't spoil that surprise here.
FAQ:
Is this mod compatible with X?
Hard to say. The mod will be compatible with all of Expanded Galaxy Mod and Spectre Expansion Mod, as well as any and all of my other mods. Any others are on a case-by-case basis.
What enemies are affected by this change?
The only enemies affected by this are Assault Troopers, Centurions and Guardians. There are no plans to change the rest of the Cerberus enemy archetypes as they are close enough to the aesthetic that Mass Effect 2 set up.
What armour suits were they given?
Each enemy was provided with the armour suit whose lore most closely suited their role in the game:
- Assault Trooper was given Cerberus Assault Armour as they are rank-and-file soldiers
- Centurions were given Inferno Armour as they are the commanders of Cerberus f

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 2,307 endorsements and over 142k downloads—clearly a mod players trust.
- Makes Cerberus look like they actually belong in the trilogy, fixing the visual disconnect from ME2.
- Targets three enemy types, so you'll see the change across multiple encounters, not just one unit.
⚠️ Cons
- Description is cut off—no details on what else is added, so you're flying blind on the full scope.
- Last updated November 2025—might not be compatible with future patches or DLC, so check before updating.
- Only affects Cerberus units—if you wanted changes to other factions or gameplay mechanics, this isn't it.
For Mass Effect players who care about lore accuracy and want Cerberus to look like their ME2 counterparts. If you're a modder or collector of trilogy-enhancing mods, this is a must-have. Skip if you're looking for gameplay tweaks—this is purely a visual overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips

- If you're using a mod manager, let it handle the file placement to avoid overwriting other mods' changes.
