Yakuza Brat Pack

Description

Replaces skins for Matsui, Sakaki, and Akane, as well as the "Sempai leader" in chapter 2 with children of famous Yakuza characters.

Backstory:

Matsui Majima - Son of the famous Tojo leader, Goro Majima - Those who have played Yakuza 5 know Goro was married in the past, and although not revealed in the game, Goro had a son, Matsui.  Matsui likes to emulate his dad in dress style, down to the eye-patch, which he claims is due to a wound he received in a knife fight (yet rumor is his eye is just fine).  Goro (Matsui's father) is said to have obtained permission for Matsui to attend Seiryo High in a 5-minute meeting with the school chairman after which its said that the chairman was white as a ghost.  Matsui is the most aggressive in his friend group and often taunts any outsiders, like Yagami.

Sakaki & Akane Dojima - Before becoming the chairman of the Tojo clan, Daigo Dojima embraced a life of booze, partying, and women (early in the game Kiwami 2), and unknown to almost all, this resulted in the birth of twins - Sakaki, and Akane, both of whom were turned over to Daigo's mother, Yayoi Dojima (former leader of the Tojo clan during Kiwami 2).  Yayoi shielded the children from the Yakuza life and spared no expense in spoiling them in the finer things - including a quality education at Seiryo High.

Sakaki romanticizes about his father's early history and wants to party just like his dad.  He secretly stole his father's white coat and cut his hair to match early pictures of his father.  He faintly smells of alcohol and cigarettes.

Akane has great respect for her grandmother, and wears a dress borrowed from her.  Akane further models her grandmother's hair style, making her a spitting image of Yayoi when she was younger.  Yet where Yayoi used this look for leadership, Akane uses it for intimidation and malice.  Some have called Akane an "old maid" behind her back and Akane is considering having the option of a "younger" hair style if there are a lot of mod downloads and/or comments requesting it.

Taichi Saejima, the Sempai leader is Taiga Saejima's wayward son.  The exact circumstances of his birth are best left unexplained (as Taiga was in prison during this time), although Taiga's Yakuza connections reportedly made prison visitation considerably more flexible than regulations intended.  Taichi adores his father and had a jacket made to match that used by his dad.  Many find Taichi mature looking for a high school student.  This is due to an incident when Taichi was 12 where he was sent to prison for several years, painfully resuming his studies when he returned (sort-of).  Taichi specializes in his connections with the local Yakuza clan and is looked up to by Akane, Sakaki, and Matsui.  Goro Majima (friend to Taiga Saejima) secured entry to Seiryo High for Taichi.  Taichi only appears in one sequence of cut scenes and fights in Chapter 2.  If you missed it, you can go to the main menu of the game, select "Replay," and then "Chapter 2" and then select "Brats with Brutes" - This will show about 50% of it.

Sequencing & Overrides

This mod will overwrite other mods that replace these characters.  Load this mod first, and then your other replacement mod(s).

Alternatively, you can edit out characters you don't want as follows:

Download/install Shin Ryu Mod Manager

Download this zip

Go to (unzipped folder)/chara/tops

Delete any sub-folders matching the name of the character you want to remove (or rename such as by adding "XXX_" to the beginning of the file name)

Then re-zip the folders

Install with Shin Ryu Mod Manager and point to your modified zip file.

Issues & Limitations

- Prerendered cut scenes are not affected (and these characters have several - It is rumored that these characters were originally asked to disguise themselves to hide their Yakuza background but lately they rebelled and are showing their true selves)

- There is a scene where Akane and Koda have an adventure in Chapter 13 (I'm being vague on purpose to avoid spoilers) and here you will see some extra clipping and some objects not quite making contact
