Colored Arrows

This is for anyone who's been frustrated looking for arrows after missing that bunny six times in a row. The arrow shafts have two colored stripes which make them easier to see in the ground and look like something that might actually have been used. The color is applied on all arrows including arrows you loot from bodies.

Colour scheme changed, I decided that having all guards march around with bright red feathers in quivers was distracting so I changed the generic arrow to white. You can still use the red scheme if you want.

Color coding is:

WHITE - Very basic arrows, Hunting arrows, long distance arrows, Tournament arrows. These are seen in quivers and arrow barrels.

RED - Cheap arrows e.g. piercing arrows. You can find these embedded on props (like dead horses).

BLUE - Better arrows, such as wounding and quality arrows

YELLOW - Fancy expensive arrows

There are two versions of the mod. One adds colored stripes to the shaft and uses colored feathers, similar to Lucas182's Colored Arrow Feathers. Generic arrows are white so the feathers in quivers and arrow barrels do not stick out so badly in e.g. Rattay.

The other version does not change feather color so you'll see the original textures with different kinds of feathers used. This is maybe a bit more plausible without every Dick, Tom and Harry walking around with nicely colored arrow feathers. On the other hand the arrows are less easy to spot in the forest. The choice is yours.

Installation:

Use Vortex to install, mod replaces textures and is immediately applied to all useable arrows including arrows looted from dead bodies.

Manual installation:

Unzip the mod file into your KCD mods folder and add it to mod_order.txt

Uninstallation:

Remove the mod with Vortex and or delete the mod from KCD mods folder

This mod has been created from scratch using game HD textures with GIMP 2. 10. The feather transparency is preserved, which is easy to see when drawing the arrows.

Tested with 1. 9. 5 and 1. 9. 6 KCD.
