Sarcosuchus (New Species Mod)

Sarcosuchus is classified within Pholidosauridae as a giant crocodyliform rather than a true modern crocodile. The best-known species, Sarcosuchus imperator, was named by France de Broin and Philippe Taquet in 1966 based on fossils from the Sahara Desert of Niger and Algeria, with other remains found in Brazil. It is characterized by an exceptionally long, narrow snout ending in a bulbous expansion (bulla) with robust, conical teeth. Known mostly from skull and armor fragments, it reached up to 12 meters in length and 8 metric tons, making it one of the largest crocodile-like reptiles in Earth's history.
