DRL Sounds Plus

DRL Sounds Plus is a sound replacement mod for DRL. It gives every enemy/weapon/item its own unique sounds. (^including stuff like the nightmare enemies, which don't make any noise at all in vanilla) Some of the more troublesome enemies have also been given foot step sounds. The only exception are assemblies, they simply reuse the same sounds as the base item. I wanted to change them, but unfortunately, it's not possible to assign different sounds to them. (or at least I don't know how to...) This can be a useful utility, allowing you to tell apart enemies outside of your vision by audio alone, you can even hear the exact type of item/armor they've picked up! (if you're close enough) And of course the varied sound effects add flavor to the game. The sound effects themselves are from various 1980's ~ 2000's classics, as well as a few doom mods. (regular doom, that is) audio.lua (in the mod's workshop folder) contains comments with the sources, open it in any text editor and scroll down to the entity's internal name. Also big thanks to Omega tyrant and Epyon for teaching me how to mod the game! Music is completely unchanged from vanilla DRL. (although note that the music is in the same config file as the sounds, so if you have any music replacements, then this mod may override them) --------------------------------------------------------- DRL Sounds Plus can also work with the standalone version of DRL: simply navigate into /data/drlhq/ and then replace the "Sound" folder as well as audio.lua with the ones from this mod.
