Slower Merc Training

This mod alters the Merc Training sector operation so that it is 3 times slower than vanilla speed, slightly reduces the positive effect of Wisdom on training speed, and lowers the training cap.  I created this mod because I found that Merc Training is too powerful in the vanilla game; it is fairly easy to train any merc, no matter how low their Wisdom is, or how low their teacher's Leadership is, to 90 in every stat.  This results in extremely powerful teams that can trivialise the game.

• []The amount of training XP gained per session is reduced to a quarter of its original amount.  This means that 4 training sessions with the mod active, is the same as 1 session in vanilla.[/]

  []Wisdom has a less positive effect on training XP gained per session.  The positive effect at high Wisdom is roughly halved, from around +40% to +20% XP gained.  Lower Wisdom values result in a more punitive penalty (by about an extra 10% or so).[/]

  []The training cap, which is the value at which you can no longer train an attribute/skill, is lowered from 91 to 80 (a nerf).[/]

  []The solo training cap, which is the same as above but when training solo, is lowered from 81 to 70.[/]

  []The speed at which solo training XP is gained was changed from 300% slower than normal training speed to 200% (a buff).[/]

  Installation Instructions

  1. Download the mod and unzip the mod folder.

  2. Move the mod folder to Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/Jagged Alliance 3/Mods.

  3. Correct file structure example: Jagged Alliance 3/Mods/YoshSlowerTraining

  4. Don't forget to enable the mod in-game in the Mod Manager menu.  Note that the mod is safe to install at any point.

  Uninstall Instructions

  1. Uncheck the mod in-game in the Mod Manager menu.

  2. Exit the game.

  3. Delete the mod folder 'YoshSlowerTraining'

  4. The mod is now uninstalled.  Note that the mod is safe to uninstall at any point.
