FModel for Hogwarts Legacy 2025

Description

In January 2025 the game was updated to include in-game modding and the format of skeletal meshes was changed. As a result the original version of the HL-specific FModel (HL v1. 0. 0. 0 / FModel v4. 4. 1. 1, here) is no longer able to read skeletal mesh data. This version (HL v2. 0. 0. 0 / FModel v4. 4. 1. 2) corrects that.

Installation instructions

  []Unzip it wherever you want FModel.exe to reside. Anywhere will do.[/]

  []Double-click FModel.exe to run it.[/]

  []Alternatively, build it yourself from the source on github.[/]

Allows mod creators to view the contents of the game files, examine asset JSON info and export certain types of asset.

New features

• []Can read and export new-format skeletal meshes from the latest versions of the game.[/]

  []Never asks if you want to update to the latest version of FModel (because you must never do that).[/]

If you try to save a model that's split into sections, it won't work. I'm still trying to figure out the new format for sections.
