Custom Engine Skeletal Mesh Patch 2025

Description

In January 2025 the game was updated to include in-game modding and the format of skeletal meshes was changed. As a result all existing Nexus mods that contain a skeletal mesh will now crash the game. This mod allows mod creators to patch their existing Custom Engine so it will create skeletal mesh mods in the new format. I have tried to make it as user-friendly and error-resistant as possible, but please note that this was an extremely difficult task so you should backup all your existing skeletal mesh .uassets before patching the Custom Engine, just in case.

Installation instructions

To revert back to your original Custom Engine:

The Custom Engine allows mod creators to cook mods for the Hogwarts Legacy game.
