The Frankenburg Arsenal - Custom weapon pack

UPDATE: fixed an issue with the kriegsmesser collisions that broke weapon handling. If you previously downloaded the mod, you only need to update the FrankeburgArsenal.pak, no need to re-import the weapons.

This mod adds 25 new weapons to the game, all with unique custom meshes. These weapons are - for the most part - modular. This means that, using OVRDTH's armoury, you can customize the mass and size of each component if the default balances aren't to your liking. Several weapons have unique characteristics, so be sure to read the weapon list to get a proper understanding of how each weapon works

This pack is a collaborative effort between myself and Theunluckykid25 on Discord, spanning over six months, beginning in late march. A weapon pack of this size and quality would never have been possible without his well researched, historically accurate models. A huge thanks to him for providing these amazing designs, and I'm sure you'll see more of his work in our future collaborations.

All 3D models (with the exception of the Fist warhammer and the 1-handed flail) were made using Bladesong, a swordmaking tool - www.bladesonggame.com

Weapon list:

1. Basket hilt broadsword

A one-handed 16th century sword from Scotland, these swords are most recognizable by their complex hand protection that promotes an aggressive cut-focused style of fencing that relies on the protective hilt to guard the hand while attacking. The complex hilt also works well as a makeshift knuckle duster if you find yourself too close to land a cut.

An Italian peasant sword that handles similarly to a simple dussack. Likely an evolution of a farming tool, the construction is quite simple, but there is a few unique characteristics that set it apart, mainly the hook on the back of the blade, and the heart shaped cutout.

3. Bollock dagger

A staple item of the medieval era, this style of knife was essential for showcasing your... martial prowess... to your fellow peasants. Simple, deadly, phallic, what more could a guy ask for?

4. Complex longsword hilt

As the longsword began to fall out of fashion in the early 17th century, swords such as this with complex hand protection became more and more prevalent. Likely inspired by the growing popularity of rapiers, these swords featured sweeps and rings that protected the hand far better than a simple crossguard.

A curved sword that grew to popularity in Holy Roman Empire of the 16th century, this weapon is somewhere between a sabre and a broadsword. A hefty, curved blade that emphasizes a cut-focused style of fencing unique to this sword, and a complex clamshell hilt that provides a good amount of protection to the hand, makes this weapon best used in successive flowing cuts.
