RAC's Realistic Reshade (no FPS loss - any game version)

DETAILED MOD DESCRIPTION

This reshade was made in around 3 days and tested in all weather conditions and parts of the map to ensure maximum visual coherence.

After trying a lot of Reshade presets for the Steam version of GTAIV, I wasn't satisfied as most if not all of them tend to be too stylized and make the game look weird with too much or not enough saturation, too much or not enough contrast etc..

This Reshade aims to provide clearer and nicer visuals whilst conserving the original atmosphere as much as possible, with little to no impact on performances. Especially for people with a non downgraded Definitive Edition of the game where ENB's don't work properly, so you're basically stuck with Reshades as your best option.

The game's palette now alternates between bluish-gray and golden tints depending on the weather and time of day, instead of looking weirdly yellowish and hazy all the time.

It's composed of only 2 effects :

for fixing colors and contrast

for a sharper image

You can always turn off  if you want, although it shouldn't have any impact on performances with most rigs anyway.*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************

INSTALLATION GUIDE

THIS RESHADE AS ONLY BEEN TESTED AND TWEAKED WITH EVERY SLIDER OF THE "DISPLAY" MENU TO THE MIDDLE POSITION

Lazy version

Download the mod and drop everything into the game's root folder (where "GTAIV.exe" is located) and replace everything if needed

Launch the game and you should see the reshade greeting message at the top of the screen

I changed the keybindings to "insert" key for opening the Menu and "pause" key to toggle the preset ON and OFF.

IMPORTANT NOTE : eventually, your reshade version won't be up-to-date, and you might have to update it manually for the effects to load (just download the newest version of ReShade, run the setup and select "GTAIV", then "DirectX9 Render API", and then "update")

Download ReShade

Run The Setup and select GTAIV (if the game is not there locate the game file and choose GTAIV.exe)

Select the DirectX9 Render API

Skip "select preset to install" page

Do not uncheck any of the automatically selected effects and click next

Now that Reshade is installed, download and extract my mod and extract only the "RAC's Final Reshade.ini" file to your game's main folder (so you can easily find it for the next steps)

Launch GTAIV

Open the Reshade menu with "Delete" key (by default) and skip the tutorial

Open the preset menu in the home section and select "RAC's Final Reshade.ini"
