Replace Grim Dawn's default slide-dodge with a powerful teleport skill — no medal required.

This MOD replaces the default Evade skill with Displacement, the teleport skill originally exclusive to the Ashes of Malmouth DLC legendary medal Rune of Displacement.

After installation, pressing the default Evade hotkey triggers a teleport instead of the slide-dodge — no medal equip, no leveling required.

v3. 0 Update — Teleport Distance Fixed

Thanks to TriBla, the teleport now actually reaches its full 30m distance.

• []Fixed a bug where the teleport was capped at ~15m despite the config showing 30m. The game's internal distanceProfile was silently limiting the distance.[/]

  []Changed maxMoveRatio to 2. 0 — you can now teleport over ledges, stairs, and similar terrain much more easily (up to 2x the straight-line distance in detour).[/]

  Three Cooldown Configurations

  This MOD provides three CD versions for players to choose based on preference:

  • []5s CD (Default, Balanced)

    Tested in-game with no engine edge cases. 0s CD may trigger issues, so 0. 1s is used as the safe minimum.[/]

      How It Works

      The MOD keeps the original defaultevade.dbr filename and path (the engine hard-codes the Evade hotkey to this path), but fully replaces the file content with teleport_d212.dbr (the original Displacement skill data).

      When the hotkey is pressed, the engine automatically loads the new content, realizing the skill replacement. The HUD button stays in its original position but loads Displacement's round rune icon, and the hotkey directly triggers the teleport.

      Skill Name & Description Display

      This MOD uses vanilla Displacement skill tags. The skill name and description are loaded automatically by the game:

        Note: The cooldown value shown in the tooltip may display vanilla data (e.g., 3. 2s), which differs from the actual CD. This is a known behavior and does not affect the actual skill effect.

          Installation

          Method A: Main Game Mode (Recommended)
