📋 About This Mod
This patch does several things:
- Changes the appearance of the Magic Bow.
- Changes the stats of the Magic Crossbow.
- Provides a series of upgrades for both weapons, but you can only upgrade the one you're skilled with the most.
- Allows you to buy magic arrows/bolts and, when you're ready, to enchant ammunition yourself.
Some extra thoughts:
- I designed it to be complementary to my Preserve's Gear mod, but it works well as a stand alone too.
- Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
How to start the upgrade chain:
- After you defeat Raven, go talk to Saturas and present your weapon to him.
- Again, you will only be able to upgrade the Magic Bow if your bow skill > crossbow skill, and vice versa.
- I recommend not skipping the dialogue. It's not too long, and it provides useful information.
- I tried to make the mod as logical and as immersive as I could, so every other piece of necessary information exists in game.
Installation:
! This patch requires the latest version of Ninja.
- Drop the "MysticRanger.vdf" file into your Gothic2\Data folder.
- To uninstall, simply delete the "MysticRanger.vdf" file.
Compatibility notes:
- Any other mod that makes changes to the Magic Bow/Crossbow or the Magic Arrow/Bolt will conflict somehow with my patch.
