📋 About This Mod
This patch does several things:
- changes the model and texture of the Fire Bow.
- turns the Fire Bow into an endgame weapon by creating a chain of upgrades for it.
- gives you the option to reforge the bow into a crossbow with a unique model and texture, and its own ammunition, of course.
- enables you to purchase as many Fire Arrows/Bolts as you need from several characters throughout the entire game.

How to get the Fire Crossbow:
- You can get the crossbow as soon as you find the Fire Bow. Just go talk to Bennet and pay him a compliment.
The Fire Bow/Crossbow upgrade chain:
1. In Chapter II, ask Constantino if he can help you improve your weapon.
2. After you talk to Saturas about Raven's death, brag to him about it some more.
! You have to resolve the Jharkendar crisis in Chapter II, otherwise the chain is broken.
3. After the Eye of Innos is healed and Pyrokar has explained to you how to recharge it, go to Xardas and ask him one more question.
4. In Chapter V, go to Pyrokar and ask him for better equipment.
A piece of advice: the materials required for the upgrades have some kind of logic to them. They're related to the element of fire somehow. You should find and keep all items that might have such a connection.
How to get the ammunition:
- You'll figure that out on your own.
Installation:
! This patch requires the latest version of Ninja.
- Drop the "FireRanger.vdf" file into your Gothic2\Data folder.
- To uninstall, simply delete the "FireRanger.vdf" file.
Compatibility note:
- It's safe to assume that any mod that changes something about the Fire Bow and Fire Arrows will conflict somehow with this patch.
- Dalai Zoll, for the weapon models which I retextured.
