📋 About This Mod
This mod redefines every projectile weapon in Going Medieval to reflect their real-world physics and historical roles. It moves away from simple DPS scaling and introduces a specialized weapon system based on range and armor interaction.
In exchange for a grueling 15-second reload time, it delivers an unstoppable bolt with 100% Armor Penetration. No amount of plate armor or shielding can withstand this hit—making it the ultimate "Capital Weapon" for sniping enemy leaders and elite champions.
・War Bow (Range 27):
Slightly shorter than a Longbow but heavier than a Short Bow. It serves as the versatile workhorse of your defense, providing consistent damage and penetration against all enemy types.
・Crossbow (Range 24):
Features high penetration to efficiently thin out knights and heavy footmen. Its purpose isn't to "break" armor but to "pierce" right through it, striking the wearer directly.
★3. Close-Range Volley (Range 18–20)
Role: Rapid fire and low-cost harassment.
・Sling (Range 20):
Using simple stones as ammunition, it boasts the fastest attack cycle (1. 2s) in the game. While individual damage is low, the relentless barrage of stones suppresses the enemy, inducing exhaustion and stuns to support follow-up attacks.
・Light Crossbow (Range 20):
Even settlers with low Marksman skills can provide reliable piercing fire thanks to its mechanical assist. An excellent "stop-gap" weapon for arming new recruits against armored threats.
・Short Bow (Range 18):
A weapon specialized in rapid-fire at close quarters. It acts as the "Cleaner," quickly finishing off lightly armored foes or enemies already weakened by previous volleys.
★4. Point-Blank Destruction (Range 10–15)
Role: Charging interception and armor shattering.
・Javelin (Range 15):
Delivers a massive impact with 40 damage, dealing lethal blows just as the enemy reaches your walls. While its penetration is lower than a bow, its raw kinetic power allows it to force its way through standard armor to claim a "Guaranteed Kill" right before melee contact.
・Throwing Axe (Range 10):
The ultimate close-quarters tool specialized in Armor Destruction (70% Armor Damage). Use this against heavy infantry pounding on your gates or walls to "shatter" their protection first, creating a debuffed, vulnerable target for your other archers to easily finish off.
【A Note on Realism & Gameplay Balance】
While this mod is heavily inspired by historical physics and the real-world roles of medieval weaponry, please remember that it is first and foremost balanced for Going Medieval’s gameplay.
Some values have been adjusted or abstracted to ensure that every weapon remains fun to use and tactically viable within the game's engine. It is a "Historical-flavored Tactical Overhaul" rather than a 100% scientific simulation.
