Paraclete RAV Vest

The PARACLETE RAV (Releasable Assault Vest) is a modular body armor system known for its patented single-point release mechanism, allowing for quick and easy removal in emergency situations. It was a staple in early 2000s tactical gear, particularly among U. S. Special Operations Forces during the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. The RAV's design was influenced by a tragic incident where servicemen drowned after a helicopter crash due to the difficulty of ditching fully loaded armor vests.
