Pre September 20th patch .forge files (re-uploaded)

Hello, DEEF here. The pre patch forge files seem to have gone offline, and rather than wait for them to appear again, I decided to re-upload the exact ones I, and many of you no doubt, will have or will want to download to get started on your modding journey, or just coming back to modding again.

Whatever the case - they're back up, nothing has changed, and the only thing I've done is pointed folks who are perhaps new to modding, to a video I made which has a full chapter near the end, which includes the process of getting the pre patch forge files set up with your game. Rewriting this as people are still having trouble due to my poor wording

Before you do anything make sure you have deleted your current Extracted folder. As you need a clean Extracted folder to be sure you won't crash from some post patch files still in the folder

Delete the current DataPC_patch_01.forge & DataPC_Resources_patch_01.forge files in your game directory, because these now have some files repacked into them from the post patch which will keep crashing until they are deleted

Copy and paste the clean pre patch forge files from this mod into your game directory, then quickly unpack them in anvil to create a new clean Extracted folder

Obviously you will need to reinstall all other mods but now you won't crash anymore

The September 20th 2023 patch, completely broken modding for many. Attempting to mod the the DataPC_patch_01.forge & DataPC_Resources_patch_01.forge files can result in crashes.

This mod is just the vanilla files from before the patch that you can mod and not crash

This is a temporary solution until the actual big brain modders can figure out what exactly causing the crashes on the latest forge files when you try to mod them

EDIT: It turns out the start up crashes are caused when you are wearing a piece of modded clothing or gear on your current visual loadout. When you attempt to load into the main menu while wearing a modded piece of clothing or gear it will always crash/freeze.

If you are not wearing modded clothing at the time you launch the game your mods WILL work

This could be a Denuvo anti tamper check that only affects the current patch forge files and not the ones from pre patch.
