Garry's Mod runs on two branches: the default "Main" branch (32-bit) and the "x86-64 - Chromium" beta (64-bit). The 64-bit branch handles more RAM and is better for big maps and many addons, but some old addons and binary modules only work on Main. Most Workshop addons (Lua-based) work on both. Switch branches in Steam → Properties → Betas.
