POTENTIAL SAVE COMPATIBILTY ISSUES - PLEASE READ

Short version: if you download the "Safe Save" version of the mod you can skip this. You'll get 98% of the experience without any fuss. For instructions on how to use the "Base Save Incompatible" version (including how to repair your save after mod uninstallation) scroll down to the bottom of this description.

Description

The 1. 1 release includes the following:

• []2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-heart events (initiated by mail quests like other characters')[/]

  []Lowered arm portraits for Errol sprinkled throughout his new content[/]

  []Bath and Beach portraits, Beach sprites[/]

  []Additional dialogue from Errol and townspeople about his ongoing story[/]

  []Access to the normal weekend dates[/]

  []Shooting Star Festival scene (you need to trigger this before dating if you want the full cutscene)[/]

  []Harvest Festival Dance and Shooting Star Festival date[/]

• []Sprite and portrait fixes (a lot of the shading makes no sense, the arm down portraits are just wonky mirroring, his sprite looks like a chubby baby on the beach, etc.)[/]

  []Post-romance and post-best friend dialogue[/]

  []Updated summer schedule (send Errol to the beach more often to show off that bod)[/]

  []Wedding event and marriage (if that becomes a technical possibility at some point?)[/]

Installation instructions and Requirements

Install with the Mods of Mistria Installer (MOMI): Download the .zip, place it inside your "/mods" folder, and run MOMI. Make sure the mod is selected in the list when you hit Install. If you downloaded the Save Incompatible version of the mod, you'll need to unzip the folder.

Long version of the save incompatibility concern: the "Base Save Incompatible" version of this mod uses a custom map in Errol's 6-heart event. At this time, loading a mod that includes a custom map and saving your game will change the shape of that particular save, making it (temporarily) unusable if the mod is uninstalled. This can be fixed in the following way:

• []Unpack the save you want to use without the Errol Expanded mod with vaultc or a similar tool[/]

  []Delete the line with "abandoned_mines_errol" from each of the following three files in that unpacked save folder: in game_stats.json under "location_visits", in gamedata.json under "props", and in player.json under "song_overrides".[/]
