📋 About This Mod
Will update when I have time, but for now there are two fixes if Fidelity76 is not working:
1. Rename the .dll to dxgi.dll
1. Install the latest version of ReShade, install as you would normally. Uncheck and recheck all ReShade packages.
2. Copy the config (ini file) into the game directory
3. follow steps in description if you are also using SFE
What is Fidelity 76?
Fidelity 76 is a ReShade preset molded to resemble a more realistic approach to a true post-apocalyptic atmosphere.
Performance friendly! You won't experience any FPS dips as I've optimized this preset to not strain your hardware in any way.
Installation:
Drag and drop all file contents in Fallout 76's main directory (where .exe is located)
- For GamePass users you need to enable Mod Support in the Xbox PC App, instructions on how to do that here: https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14503
Press the HOME key to open up the ReShade menu.
Fully compatible with SFE!
Simply change your ReShade's dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll. (Thank you michaelo!)
Make sure you put in the ReShade .dll in your directory and change the name before you add SFE's dxgi.dll so it doesn't overwrite!
Don't forget to ENDORSE! :)

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Performance-friendly preset that won't tank your FPS (author claims optimized)
- Community-trusted with 95 endorsements and nearly 3,000 downloads
- Works with SFE, so you can stack mods without conflicts
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2021, so may not be compatible with recent Fallout 76 patches
- Requires manual tweaking (renaming DLLs) which can be confusing for beginners
For Fallout 76 players who want a grittier, more realistic look without sacrificing performance. If you're already using SFE or want a simple ReShade preset that's easy on your GPU, this is worth a shot. Skip if you prefer vibrant colors or need active updates.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If the preset doesn't load, rename the ReShade .dll to dxgi.dll as the author suggests.
- For SFE users, rename dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll before adding SFE's file to avoid overwriting.
- GamePass users must enable mod support in the Xbox PC App first—check the linked news article.
