Vault 81 Residents Don't use Pipeguns - Robco Patcher

Requirements:

Robco Patcher (choose the right version for your Fallout 4 version)

(OPTIONAL) Sim Settlements 2

Installation:

Install the mod. The fomod will have an option if you want to have the SS2 robco patcher INI as well. The option will be auto enabled if it detects SS2 in your mod list.

Description:

This uses robco patcher to patch the Vault 81 Residents at run-time to not use Pipeguns, but use 10mm pistols.  This changes their leveled list, without needing an ESP to prevent conflicts with NPC visual overhauls or other mods like the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.

This generally requires either a new game or a game where Vault 81 has not been entered yet, because then the vault 81 NPCs inventories would have been already baked into the save, and this mod's changes won't apply without a inventory reset command or a cell reset.

The Sim Settlements 2 option patches the NPCs added by SS2 such as Mansfield, as well as patches the cloned Vault 81 residents for Chapter 2.  From my testing, this generally requires a new game for the changes to be applied even if you haven't been to Vault 81 yet. Must be something to do with how SS2 sets up the NPCs like Mansfield. Or you can do a inventory reset command on the NPC, or a cell reset on Vault 81.

If you're playing on Fallout 4 Next Gen, The alpha Robco Patcher version for NG may cause crashes, as it's still in alpha.
