📋 About This Mod
What does it do?
Every time Fallout 4 loads a texture, mesh, sound, or any other asset from a BA2, it needs to decompress it first. The game uses zlib 1. 2. 7 (released in 2012) for this. FastDecompress intercepts these decompression calls and redirects them to use the more modern zlib-ng and libdeflate libraries.
Compatibility with Addictol: FastDecompress handles form decompression with libdeflate in a similar way as Addictol does and adds zlib-ng for streaming inflate, which Addictol doesn't touch. Running both libdeflate hooks is harmless, but you can disable bLibDeflate in the Addictol settings when using this.
FastDecompress is a single DLL that works on all three Fallout 4 runtimes: OG, AE and VR

For the ini file:
bEnableLogging: if the mod will create a log file in Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE. This is turned off by default, if you want to see information and stats about what the mod does you can turn this on by opening fastdecompress.ini and change bEnableLogging=1
bBaselineMode: This turns off the mod except for the logging part. if you want to see the difference between using the normal game decompression and the new one of this mod, you can set bBaselineMode=1 in fastdecompress.ini which makes the mod only capture data throughput in the log, without replacing the decompression libraries.
To further speed up loading time you can also try
Faster Loadscreens
Faster File Copy
Faster Cell Lookup
Faster Saves
