📋 About This Mod
The weird thing about this one was the fact that the base robot actually had the protected flag set...
Hypothesis: The workbench doesn't read the protected flag as it's inherited from a template.
Fix: Removes base data template and sets the values manually within the actor.
They began to spawn protected once I removed the template from the robot and set the protected flag directly within the robot.
It just works!

This small bug fix ensures Automatron robots spawn with the 'protected' flag as intended, preventing them from being accidentally killed by the player. With 355 endorsements and over 10,000 downloads, it's a community-approved fix for Fallout 4 players who use the Automatron DLC.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 355 endorsements and over 10,000 downloads.
- Fixes an annoying issue where your custom robots could die permanently.
- Lightweight and focused—does exactly what it says, nothing more.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects robots created via the Automatron DLC, so it's useless if you don't have that DLC.
- Last updated in 2022, so it might not be compatible with the latest game patches or mods that alter robot behavior.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that modify Automatron robot settings or protected flags.
For Fallout 4 players who use the Automatron DLC and are tired of their custom robots getting killed in the crossfire. If you're a completionist who wants your robot companions to survive every fight, this is a must-have. Skip if you don't use Automatron or prefer gameplay overhauls.
