📋 About This Mod
The modding scene in Skyrim has a few years of technical progress on FO3 modding. There, it is imperative and an unwritten law to make mods based on the Unofficial Patches. It appears that this good modding practice hasn't made it's way to Fallout 3 yet. Modding on an unpatched game reverts records that the mod touches back to the often fragile, dysfunctional or neglected vanilla state. I mean.. COME ON GUYS!!!!!
Anniversary Patcher, UFO3P vs. UUFO3P
- []This collection does not replace the Anniversary Patcher. Follow the guides, then install mods, then come back here.
-
[]There's the old Unofficial FO3P and there is a newer Updated Unofficial FO3P. This mod patches toward the newer UUFO3P
I consider (U)UFO3P and Goodies base-game Material. I patch any mod i install on the go and upload the doable patches here. Some patches require Goodies, some don't. It is noted in the file descriptions.
COMPATIBILITY & OUTLOOK ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mods i attempted to patch but cannot:
-
[]Marts Mutant Mod - Too complex and too deeply woven into the base game. Too many native records that carry the same unpatched blank references as the base game. This one must be done by the author to make sure it's done conforming to their vision. Also... S* ton of work, nope.
[
]Bound in Steel - Brotherhood Revisions - I do not recommend using the BRev module. From the patch-side of things it doesn't look like it adds much to the game, but it undoes a ton of UFO3P changes. I will not give it a try ingame, so my assessment here is tentative.Mods that do not need a patch:
-
[]All mods that have no .esp, e.g. pure texture or sound file replacers
[
]All Outfits 2k FO3 and TTW[]Collision Meshes FO3 - Main version v1. 6. 6
[]Dead Wilderness - A Grass Overhaul - 2/4k v1. 0
[]GNR Enhanced - Patches a number of simpler things like sex- or quest stage conditions just like the UUFO3P, but goes far beyond. Changes are too extensive to retrace, but do look deliberate and carefully made as a whole. This mod is a patch itself, and doesn't need any forwarding.
Dirty mods that I recommend to xEdit QuickAutoClean:
[]All of them, generally (GECK introduces wild edits unaware to

This mod forwards UUFO3P records to other mods that only use the unpatched Fallout3.esm, fixing conflicts and ensuring compatibility with the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch. It's a niche utility for modders and players who want a stable, patched game. With 87 endorsements and recent updates, it's a small but active project.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Fixes real compatibility headaches for modded Fallout 3 (87 endorsements show it's appreciated).
- Actively maintained — last updated September 2025, so it's not abandoned.
- Essential for anyone running mods that haven't been updated for UUFO3P.
⚠️ Cons
- Niche audience — only useful if you're running specific mods that need patching.
- No detailed list of which mods are covered, so you might download it and find your mod isn't included.
- Requires the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch to be installed, which isn't mentioned in the description but is implied.
For Fallout 3 modders who use the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch and have older mods that still reference the unpatched ESM. If you're a casual player just adding a few mods, you might not need this. Skip if you don't care about deep compatibility fixes.
