Name: Rivet City Merchants 2 Version: 1. 0 Date: 08/08/2015 Category: NPC Author(s): Mogomra

Description ===========

Like many of the people here on The Nexus, I started playing Fallout 3 again not long after Fallout 4 was announced. And when I got to Rivet City, I was disappointed by the offerings of the merchants there. Feeling pretty sparse for the trading hub of the Capital Wasteland! I may have had to put up with that when I played Fallout 3 on the XBOX 360 6 years ago, but now that I have the PC version, I figured I could download a mod to fix this.

So I downloaded Rivet City Merchants by DonLemonade from 2011. And while it worked well enough, the vendors were missing audio and/or lip files, and the places where the merchants were located conflicted with other mods like Sunglasses Collection, Steiner Combat Gear, Joe's Junk Shop, and Banks of the Wasteland. And the voice files that were used sounded like every other NPC in the Rivet City Marketplace. And they wouldn't shut up about the usual crap that the people that live in Rivet City talk about constantly (i.e. putting railings on the flight deck, the immigrant that drank river water, how noisy it was last night, etc.) So I went ahead and created Rivet City Merchants 2 to at least partially address these issues.

Rivet City Merchants 2 introduces two stalls in the back of the Rivet City Marketplace: Crenshaw Imports and The Commonwealth Armory. Crenshaw Imports is an almost identical re-creation of Imports by Heather from the original Rivet City Merchants mod. However, Old Lady Crenshaw is a little more... rustic then Heather was. She's also much more heavily armed. The Commonwealth Armory is run by a Ghoul named Ben Zachary. It's not certain whether or not Ben is from the Commonwealth or he's just using the cache of the Commonwealth to sell his products, but he's one of the few vendors in the Wasteland specializing in energy weapons and ammunition. He also sells flamers, incinerators, and some of the energy-related Big Guns in the game. Ben has a taste for Nuka-Cola and has a radio in his stall that is always tuned into GNR.

Neither of these vendors are particularly chatty, but they do use existing voice assets and lip files, so they aren't completly silent. They also have their own mattresses in the Rivet City Common Room and they follow their own sleeping, eating, and trading schedules seperate from the rest of the Rivet City Merchants. Both of them leave the Marketplace at around 8:00 PM to hang out in the Common Room - they're available to do some trading there until midnight, at which point they finally pack it in fo
