This is a special moveset for the Battle Hammer, with one hammer in both hands preferably. It covers the 1H and dual wield part moveset
There is also a full idle concerning static, walking and running animations
New skill, description :
Skill: Blazing Storm
Summon a blazing tornado around you, this will also coat the armament in Black fire, which deals damage over time. Follow up with a devastating jumping attack.
There is also a full new model and retexture of the Grave Warden Duelist armor and the Battle Hammer. I went for a burnt/used style for the hammer and a brown/copper retexture for the armor. New cloak is from Blaidd's armor model
Scorching Gladiator is a fire-themed moveset mod for Dark Souls III that retargets Grave Warden Duelist boss animations onto a new hammer weapon, adding fire effects to compensate for missing hammer chains. It also includes a new armor set. With 52 endorsements and 1,559 downloads, it's a niche but functional addition for players who enjoy fiery combat and scantily clad characters.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Boss animation retargeting gives a unique, aggressive moveset that stands out from standard hammers
- Fire effects add visual flair and make up for the lack of true hammer chains
- Community has shown interest with 52 endorsements and 1,559 downloads
⚠️ Cons
- No hammer chains implemented—combat may feel less fluid than expected from a hammer moveset
- Author's description is minimal, lacking details on armor stats, weapon scaling, or installation steps
- Last updated June 2025—potential compatibility issues with future game patches or DLC
For Dark Souls III players who enjoy boss-inspired movesets and want a fiery, aggressive hammer playstyle. Also for those who appreciate character customization with a half-naked gladiator aesthetic. Skip if you prefer realistic armor or need a fully polished, documented mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this is a moveset mod, ensure you have the required DLC (Ashes of Ariandel) to access the Grave Warden Duelist animations.
- Test the mod in a low-stakes area first to get used to the new moveset and fire effects.
- If you're using other moveset mods, check for conflicts—they may override each other's animations.
