📋 About This Mod

Persistent Buffs

This is a DLL mod that keeps your active buffs (incantations, consumables etc.) through death, fast travel, resting at sites of graces and even item swapping (if you have any grease or spell effect applied).

The game normally wipes every active effect on those events no matter how much duration they had left, and what this mod does, is to keep them applied.

Features

  • []Buffs persist through fast travel / death / resting[/]

[]Remembers greases and spell buffs per weapon and restores them after weapon swap or changing gear (as long as you equip the same weapon later, it will still have the effect available - only if the buff time has not expired)[/]

[]Buffs can persist even through different game sessions (set "remember_across_sessions = 1" in the .ini file)[/]

[]Physick tears persistence can also be enabled.[/]

I recommend using my other mod Infinite Weapon Buffs, in order to adjust the duration of all buffs according to your own preferences. The two were designed to complement each other.

    Installation:

    Option #1: ModEngine3 (me3), recommended

    • []Install me3 (me3_installer.exe)[/]

[]Open your ME3 profile folder — paste this into Explorer's address bar and press Enter:

      %localappdata%\garyttierney\me3\config\profiles\eldenring-mods[/]

[]Copy PersistentBuffs.dll and PersistentBuffs.ini into that folder (...\eldenring-mods)[/]

[]Open eldenring-default.me3 with any text editor and add the following lines:[/]

    []

    path = "eldenring-mods/PersistentBuffs.dll"

    • []Launch the game through M|E3 as usual.[/]

      Option #2: ModEngine2

      • []Get ModEngine2 and extract it anywhere (NOT into the game folder)[/]

[]Copy PersistentBuffs.dll and PersistentBuffs.ini into the ModEngine2 directory (next to launchmod_eldenring.bat)[/]

[]In config_eldenring.toml, under , register the DLL:

        external_dlls = [ "PersistentBuffs.dll" ][/]

        []Run launchmod_eldenring.bat[/]

[]MinHook by TsudaKageyu - hooking library used to intercept game functions at runtime.[/]

[]The Grand Archives Cheat Table (TGA CT) - main source for all memory offsets and signatures used by this mod.[/]

Persistent Buffs is a DLL mod for an unspecified game that preserves active buffs through fast travel, death, resting, item swapping, and even across game sessions. With 37 endorsements and 1,208 downloads, it's a niche utility for players tired of re-applying buffs after interruptions. Last updated July 2026.

✨ Key Features

Keeps active buffs through fast travel, death, resting, and item swapping.
Preserves buffs across game sessions (game exit).
Implemented as a DLL mod, suggesting a technical installation.
Recently updated (July 2026), indicating active maintenance.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solves a real annoyance—no more re-buffing after every death or fast travel.
  • Cross-session persistence is a standout feature; few mods do this.
  • Active development (updated July 2026) means it's likely compatible with current game versions.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only 37 endorsements—small user base, so community testing is limited.
  • DLL mods can be finicky with game updates; you'll need to watch for breakage.
🎯 Is This For You?
For players who hate re-applying buffs after every death or fast travel, especially in long play sessions. If you're a completionist or heavy explorer, this saves time. Skip if you rarely use buffs or prefer vanilla mechanics.
📦 Install:Hard· 15+ minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a DLL mod, you'll likely need a mod loader like BepInEx or MelonLoader—check the game's modding community for the standard setup.
  • Back up your save files before installing, as DLL mods can affect game stability.
  • Test buff persistence after a fast travel and after a game restart to confirm it's working.
