📋 About This Mod
Updated version of a mod by GrigLog, this is NOT my work. The original mod can be found here.
Copied from original mod description:For Elden Ring 1. 16. Install with Mod Engine 2 as usual. Enjoy your useful data.
Wait, how is this useful?
Allows you to better understand the potential of each weapon. The numbers you
see are the bonus damage% that you will get for maxing out matching
stats (the cap is usually either 99 or 150 (actually 150 will give 110%
of that additional damage but I dont want to go too deep here)). More
detailed explanation: google doc (not mine).
Compability:
This mod changes regulation.bin and a few popular .gfx files, so if you want
to use No Scaling Letters with other mods, you will have to merge
manually. Happily for you, this is very simple to do (but only if you
know how to mod, lol) because the changes are minimal - 10 param
properties and several DefineEditText's in .gfx'es (I increased xmin to
-1000 to have more space for longer numbers).
No Scaling Letters replaces the vague letter grades (A, B, C) in the Attribute Scaling section with exact numerical values, making it easier to understand your character's scaling at a glance. A small UI tweak for players who want precise data over letter ratings.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Clear improvement for min-maxers who hate guessing what 'B' actually means
- Tiny mod, no bloat—just does one job and does it well
- Decent community trust with 70 endorsements and 1.8k downloads
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects the Attribute Scaling UI—if you wanted more UI overhauls, this isn't it
- No screenshots or detailed description, so you're flying blind until you install
- Last updated in November 2024—might not be compatible with future patches
For players who want precise scaling numbers instead of vague letters, especially theorycrafters and min-maxers. Skip if you're fine with the default letter grades or want a full UI overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you're on game version 1.16 or later, since the mod is updated for that patch
- If you use other UI mods, test this one last to avoid conflicts with layout changes
- Check the mod page for any optional files or patches if you're using a mod manager
