One Truck

Description

This is your truck. There are many like it but this one is yours.

One Truck replaces the spawning drivable trucks with a single, persistent one. Park it somewhere, quit the game, come back later, and that is where it will be. No more randomly spawning throwaways.

• []Your truck stays yours. Its position and direction are saved when you park. After a reload, it shows up where you left it.[/]

  []Your truck stays marked. One truck icon follows it on the map and HUD compass, wherever you leave it.[/]

  []Every other truck becomes scenery. Other trucks lose their doors and hood interaction. You can't drive or repair them, and they don't appear on the map or compass.[/]

  []Truck locations are set per-save. Parking locations are kept separately. On a save with no truck recorded yet, the nearest truck becomes yours where it stands.[/]

How it picks your truck: a few seconds after the world loads, One Truck adopts the nearest truck it can find. If that save already has a parked location, the truck is returned there. From then on, wherever you park is where it will be next time.

One Truck - Runtime

The mod itself. An ASI client for DL:TB Runtime Bridge.

One Truck - PAK

The PAK disables the game's normal truck markers and provides the icon used for your truck. Without it, the other trucks still appear on the map and yours is shown as a normal waypoint flag. It also restores truck repair: with one truck repairing is the only way back on the road.

• []Main - Balanced (25 Scrap) / Cheap (1 Scrap). Repair costs Scrap directly at the hood. Works on any save, including the character you are already playing.[/]

  []Authentic (requires a new campaign) - Balanced (20 Scrap + 4 Wiring + 4 Rags) / Cheap (1 Scrap +1 Wiring +1 Rag). You receive the Car Repair Kit blueprint. It lets you craft kits, and repairing consumes them.[/]

    Settings

    Settings are in OneTruck.ini beside the ASI. Every setting has a comment, and the defaults are what the mod was tested with. If you use CraneLoader, One Truck also appears there with these settings as labelled controls.

    Installation

    Vortex

    • []Install and enable DL:TB Runtime Bridge if you have not already.[/]

      []Install and enable One Truck - Runtime and one One Truck - PAK.[/]

      Manual Installation

      • []One Truck - Runtime: extract it into your game folder while keeping the \ph_ft\work\bin\x64 structure. OneTruck.asi and OneTruck.ini belong beside DLTBRuntimeBridge.asi.[/]

        []One Truck - PAK: merge the included data7.pak into your existing PAK setup. If another mod already uses data7.pak, do not simply overwrite it.[/]

        Uninstallation

        Disable both files and deploy again. Nothing is written to your game save. The other trucks will behave normally the next time the game loads without One Truck.

        Good to Know

        []The truck marker uses map waypoint slot 5. The other four waypoint slots work normally. If you clear slot 5 while the mod is running, One Truck will put its marker back a few seconds later.[/]
