📋 About This Mod
Turns hunger into a responsive survival system. Sprinting, climbing, jumping, and Beast Mode consume additional hunger based on exertion, while driving and idle time barely affect it. Food, loot and thresholds remain unchanged.
Description
Hunger in Restored Land is mostly a clock. It runs at nearly the same speed whether you're clearing a rooftop, driving across the valley, or standing in a stash reading a note. Meanwhile, sprinting and most of the things that actually tire you out barely come into it. This mod changes that.
Earn Your Appetite shifts hunger away from simply passing time and toward what Kyle actually does.
Rest is cheap. Exertion matters. Beast Mode is expensive. Staying completely full costs more than running a little hungry, while going too far eventually brings the game's own hunger penalties into play.

Food values and loot tables are untouched.
How It Changes Hunger
Rest Is Cheap
The passive hunger rate is reduced to a quarter of vanilla.
You can stop and look at something without feeling as though the hunger bar would prefer you get on with it. Driving works the same way. Sitting in a truck is not hard work.
Exertion Burns Calories
Jumping, climbing, sliding and several other traversal actions have little or no meaningful hunger cost in vanilla. EYA gives them one. The runtime component also adds hunger while sprinting.
Spend a while moving quickly across rooftops and you'll arrive noticeably hungrier than if you'd spent the same time wandering around, looting, or standing still. Take your time and food lasts longer.
The grappling hook costs a little more than a jump.
Hulking Out Costs a Meal
Beast Mode burns a substantial amount of hunger. With the full setup, transforming on a full stomach costs roughly a sixth of the bar.
You should need a snack after hulking.
It also gives Beast Controlled potentially more value.
You Don't Need to Stay Topped Off
Hunger burns fastest near Full and gradually slows as the bar empties. Eat a large meal and the top of the bar comes down relatively quickly; leave it alone and the decline settles into something much slower.
Being Full provides stamina and healing benefits. EYA makes maintaining those benefits cost something, rather than leaving Full as the obvi
