Audiomod Core (AmC)

So what even is this?

Audiomod Core is a modloader that allows you to install up to 101 custom soundpacks for your game at the same time.

It uses a slot system: the higher the slot number, the higher the priority. This way audiomods can be managed as groups instead of constantly replacing each other. This makes it easier for soundmodders to release their soundpacks together rather than conflicting with each other's work.

AmC allows you to install custom CSBs directly in your \DW\Data\ folder. (they must be named custom_1, _2, _3, etc. or the mod won't load them.)

To get one, you can download existing AmC-compatible sound mods off the Nexus, or you can use the Custom Audio Compiler Scripts to create your own.

You can reorganize your custom soundpacks anytime as long as Dying Light isn't currently running.

I strongly recommend you keep a text file or note somewhere to remind you which mod is in each CSB, or else you might forget later!

So what? I've used QuickBMS before..

Ah- Not so fast! QuickBMS injections have a few limitations like filesize and duration, and often corrupt the CSB file if used multiple times in a row.

Custom CSBs don't touch the original audio at all, and allow you to create sound mods without a file size or duration limit. They even let you add completely new sound files to the game, for custom weapons, for instance.

PvP Randomizer Edition (For advanced users)

The Randomizer version of the mod is an advanced mode that lets you have multiple active versions of these 4 PvP tracks by renaming them:

The randomized version comes with a custom_0.csb, which contains all the default tracks in this new format and is required so they don't go silent.

To replace the default track, install another custom CSB containing _00. (CustomEndgame_00, for example)

[]Do not remove custom_0.csb unless you know what you're doing; it provides the defaults for Randomizer mode. Removing it will make the 4 tracks silent in-game.[/]
