Ultimate Heroes lets you start your single player adventure either as a Farmboy or Farmgirl but with the added bonus of also choosing between a Dwarf, Halfgiant, Utraean, or a Skeleton.

This mod has been remade from scratch and no longer uses Maa-Jussi's Heroes mod as a dependency while sticking to some of the main features while bringing new features. Every unique hero with the exception of the normal Farmboy and Farmgirl will spawn with a backpack, a bow, and 2 low-level spells for both Combat Magic and Nature Magic.

Ultimate Heroes also unlocks more customization textures for all the races and skeleton. It also adds more outfits to the character customization ranging from a1 (the shirt) to a9 (Legends of Aranna armors) with all the textures for those outfits, including rare, cut, LoA textures and some monster textures too!.

Quick outfit run down:

a1 – shirt + pants (or both separate)

a2 – light armor

a3 – chain mail

a4 – scale mail

a5 – plate mail

a6 – heavy plate

b1 - Farmgirl robes

a8 – bark armor (LoA)

a9 – Utraean plate (LoA)

Quick race and Skeleton run down:

Farmboy and Farmgirl

NPC boy and NPC girl – uses NPC textures and no head customization

Halfgiant NPC – uses NPC textures and no head customization

Utraean boy and Utraean girl

Each race and skeleton will have a separate version for each outfit, and all the outfits have all the textures including ones that were cut and never seen in game especially for the a2, light armor sets!

You will also notice that sometimes the order of races can be a bit out of place but once you find your hero that you want to customize you can.

The Farmboy and Halfgiant will have additional hair choices which were not available and are only seen on the first head model.

For the Skeletons you also got some nice textures and an unused ones like a gold skeleton texture which looks a bit odd when in the hero window but in game will look nice and spooky.

For the Farmboy, Halfgiant, NPC boy, and Halfgiant NPC races, there will also be a new skin of the cut doppelgänger. While the monster did exist in LoA, the human monster was cut, but the texture and resources still exist in the expansion files. It will also be available for NPC versions if you don’t want the customizable hair.

Requirements:

Make sure that you have Legends of Aranna installed and get the Return to Arhok revisited by foerstj

Important Note:

If you get an exception error, you will need to go to your documents file Documents\Dungeon Siege LOA and delete the prefs.gas file for the game to generate a new one. Once you are at the main menu you will need to set the video settings again like your shadows and sound settings to generate the new prefs.gas file.

Then once you got your hero ready you can play.

If the error happens again you can just repeat the process of the deleting the prefs.gas file and the game will generate a new one.

Installing: 💿

Drop the ultimate_heroes.dsres file into the Resources folder within the game files.

Uninstalling: 🗑️

Remove the ultimate_heroes.dsres file outside of the Resources folder.
