Vocation Guild Crash Slayer

The Problem

Since launch, Dragon's Dogma 2 crashes when hovering over skills in the Vocation Guild for more than 3 seconds. The game tries to load skill preview videos through Windows Media Foundation (MFPlat. DLL), which conflicts with certain NVIDIA driver configurations. The crash happens whether you have mods or not, and Capcom never fixed it. The error appears in the REFramework log as: MFPlat. DLL + nvwgf2umx.dll (NVIDIA driver crash during video decoding).

This mod hooks the video playback calls in the RE Engine before they reach the problematic NVIDIA driver code, blocking the preview videos from ever loading. The crash never happens.

Eliminates the Vocation Guild crash completely. Compatible with all mods including Dullahan, Weaponlord, and Enhanced Warfarer. No performance impact. Works on all GPU brands.

This was made by spending a lot of time analyzing crash logs, extracting DD2 PAK files with RETool, reverse engineering the RE Engine movie player, and writing the fix from scratch.
