Vocation Auto Camera Switcher

The mod changes camera FOV, distance and offset to give more closer shoulder point of view for the melee oriented vocations and more distant and tactical point of view for ranged oriented vocations. In our opinion, for melee it's more important to have a view that allows to focus on an enemy to perform perfect parries while for ranged it's more about overview of the combat field and picking targets from distance. Presets are editable, you can adjust them to your liking.

WIP: presets and grouping of vocations can change as we experience the game more (and also - share your opinion).

Mod changes

- Melee vocations (Fighter, Thief, Champion, Spear, Warfarer): FOV - 90, distance - 3, character is positioned at the left side of the camera.

- Ranged vocations (Archer, Mage, Sorcerer, Archer mage, Trick): FOV - 70, distance - 5 (4 indoors), character is centered (slightly shifted left indoors).

- Almost all corrections and transitions are removed.

- You can still change camera distance with in-game options.

- You can enable input sensitivity tweaks in the script and adjust the sensitivity values (disabled by default, not required if you're already using Proper Camera Controls for PC).

- You can edit all the values to your preferences (see below).

Installation and configuration

- Make sure you have REFramework installed.

- Download the mod's package.

- Unpack the content of the downloaded mod's package into your "\steamapps\common\Dragons Dogma 2" folder.

- Launch the game. If everything is fine, you should see r457Camera.lua under ScriptRunner, Known Scripts category of REFramework UI.

If you want to change mod parameters, open your "\steamapps\common\Dragons Dogma 2\reframework\autorun\r457Camera.lua" with notepad and edit the values at the beginning of the file.

To uninstall the mod remove "\steamapps\common\Dragons Dogma 2\reframework\autorun\r457Camera.lua" file.

Recommended mods and in-game settings for better PC experience

- Mouse Wheel Movement Speed Grand Cruise Control

- Proper Camera Controls for PC

- Disable camera tracking and auto-adjust in Options -> Camera.

Incompatible mods

- Stay Centered - DD2 (already included in this mod)

- Simple Camera FOV (not needed with this mod)

- True Shoulder Camera (this mod is a more complex version of the True Shoulder one)

- Anything that changes camera FOV or positioning won't work with this one
