Dragon's Dogma 2 only allows a single save slot for auto- and manual saves. Since it's just a file in steam/userdata/.../2054970/.., it can be manually backed up and restored. The tool makes the process easier by tracking when the file changes and making a time-stamped copy of it inside the "Quick" subfolder. The amount of thusly made quicksaves is customizable and only the most recent ones are kept. In the app window it's then possible to select a quicksave and promote it to a "permanent" save (which just copies the file into the "Perm" subfolder), where it can be manually renamed. Both quick and perm saves can be copied back (from the app's GUI) to become the main game's save.

Important note #1: as nexus seems to unconditionally quarantine exe files, there's an alternative download link in the file's description. Or you can compile it from the sources in the zip.

Important note #2: in my playthrough several times I got a "failed to load" error after copying from stored saves. That seems to be the problem with some dynamic game state though, the files themselves look ok and worked fine every time after i quit and restarted the game.

Updated to version 1. 1:

- select newly copied or renamed item in the perm saves list

- track the latest written-to perm save

- fixed an issue with multiple saves with the same prefix (i.e. tmp, tmp1, tmp2, etc) deleted from lists (but not from disk!)

- increased list sizes, maximum number of quicksaves

I'm now using it in elden ring; works like a charm (and god that game needs it)
