First of all, huge thanks to cangtiantaitan for making the original Random Encounters, and magoo2851 for making Zone Difficulty Tweaks. Without these two angels laying the foundations, I wouldn't have been able to hack this together like the charlatan fraud of a mod author I am. Also thank you to kontjameskont for updating and maintaining Random Encounter Re-Arisen, this mod uses the latest version (2. 0 at time of writing) as a base. I merely stand on the shoulders of giants. I hyperfocused on this and put it together over 36+ straight hours of manual coding, using Anthropic's Claude, rewriting, editing, iterating and testing over and over

Do not come into the comments complaining about the "balance", the mod is customizable.

Vanilla Plus Preset

Enabled by default.

Makes the game feel fresh without being stupid chaos. You will no longer see the same enemies in the same place over and over again. The open world Regions will have their expected vanilla roster. You'll see clusters of Harpies harassing Wolves and Bandits. A nest of Saurians could be replaced by Hobgoblins instead. Undead enemies are still the exclusive Night spawns. Certain enemy types will show up sooner than in vanilla because they can spawn anywhere within their Region, not just their pre-placed positions. Tombs will stay packed with a broad undead variety, and dungeons that had only Goblins or only Bandits will now spawn both, creating active territorial conflicts with Better Monster Infighting installed.

There is a 0% Random Boss chance. The vanilla Bosses, Quests, and Events are NOT randomized.

Generally the vibes were kept.

Chaos Mode Preset

This is the original Random Encounters' settings, which were quite chaotic and had no balancing or Region detection enabled.

If you used the original mod or Dynamic Enemy Randomizer before v2. 5 and want those defaults back, that's what Chaos Mode is.

EACH REGION HAS ITS OWN CUSTOMIZABLE ENEMY ROSTER!

The mod is now 100% aware of what region the enemies spawn in. There are 8 mapped regions that do an excellent job of covering all the playable space in the open world:

Vermund North

Vermund East

Vermund West

Sacred Arbor

Misty Marshes

Checkpoint Town + Ancient Battleground

Volcanic Island

Every Region has access to the full enemy roster, so you can make any area as insane or tame as you want!

INDEPENDENT CUSTOMIZABLE DUNGEON SETTINGS!

Dungeons are now fully customizable, independent of the 8 open world Regions. Under the Dungeon settings is a list of every monster type in the game. If that monster spawns with Capcom's _IsDungeonSet tag, it will be globally randomized in all dungeons with whatever monster or combination of monsters you want. You have access to the whole roster, just like the Regions!

This allows you to do things like change every dungeon-dwelling Goblin type enemy into Mercenaries. Or Slimes, or Sphinx's or Minotaurs, or ALL of those! It's a chaos mod after all. Mix and match, make every vanilla Saurian location spawn Drakes!
