📋 About This Mod

There are 4 enemy tables that set the spawns for monster culling requests in the open world, and all of them are absolutely pointless fights against 2 or 3 goblins, a pack of wolves, or similar. This mod spices all of them up. Additionally, in vanilla, night time culling requests only happen in the cities. This mod adds night time events to every event location, with their own spawn tables.

The spawns are made with Bestiary in mind, and include Bestiary variants (and Bestiary's randomized variants can also show up where appropriate). The night spawns are particularly brutal, so be careful out there. Remember, there's no shame in fleeing an overpowering foe.

Vermund

  • []SuddenQuest01: Ogre, Minotaur, or Cyclops. There’s a chance that they’ll be accompanied by harpies, choppers, and goblins (respectively).

    []SuddenQuest02: Golem, Griffin or Warg.

Battahl

  • []SuddenQuest03: Grim Ogre, Goreminotaur, armored Cyclops, or Chimera. There’s a chance they’ll be accompanied by a Minotaur, an Ogre, bandits and hobgoblins (respectively).

[]SuddenQuest04: Griffin + knackers and 2 knacker shamans, Golem, Bazel Minotaur, or Tempered Cyclops.

[]SuddenQuest13: Drake or Medusa (this one only spawns near the waterfall, and the Drake won't flee, unlike vanilla).

Night time encounters in the wilds

  • []SuddenQuest09 (Vermund): Dullahan, Drake, 2x Wight, Skeleton Lord + horde of skeletons and undead.

[]SuddenQuest10 (Battahl): Black Griffin, Gorechimera, Lesser Dragon, 2x Dire Garm, Medusa.

The night time encounters in the cities have been left unchanged from vanilla.

There's also a "Brave Drakes" optional file that makes it so the Drake in Vernworth's raid won't fly away after losing some hp (which could result in massive NPC death, you've been warned). This is the same Drake that raids Harve and East Vermund.

FAQ

  • []How is this different from enemy randomizers?

Much smaller scope. I'm only changing the monster culling spawn tables, and the spawns are mostly fixed (they use the game's built in randomization system for monster culling requests). This also means my mod is less likely to cause trouble (Durnehviir will never affect quest related enemies, for example).

  • Is this compatible with enemy randomizers?

Yes. Though if you're randomizing bosses, the encounters added by my mod will also be affected
