Current State

This is an early Alpha release. Core mechanics are mostly stable, but you may still run into bugs, crashes and rough edges — that's expected at this stage.

Before you install — what the launcher does to your files

DD2gether ships as a launcher that installs and manages the mod for you. Three things it does are worth knowing up front.

1. It can disable your other REFramework script mods

Other REFramework script mods can conflict with co-op sync, so the launcher's Other script mods panel scans reframework/autorun/ and lists any top-level .lua loader that isn't part of DD2gether.

Nothing is moved unless you press Disable for co-op. When you do, those loader files are moved — never deleted — into:

Dragon's Dogma 2/reframework/autorun_disabled_by_dd2gether/Every move is written to a ledger (data/quarantine_ledger.json) and Restore my mods puts them all back exactly where they were. Only the top-level loader file is moved; each mod's support folders are left alone.

2. It writes into your Dragon's Dogma 2 install folder

The launcher installs these and keeps them up to date:

• []dinput8.dll — REFramework itself[/]

  []lua/, socket/, mime/ — the LuaSocket networking runtime the mod needs (this includes two small .dll files)[/]

  []reframework/autorun/coop/ and its entry scripts — the mod itself[/]

If something it installs would replace a file you already have, your existing file is backed up to <name>.bak first. Mod files left over from an older DD2gether build are moved into reframework/_dd2gether_backup/ rather than deleted.

The launcher does not modify DD2.exe, steam_api64.dll, your save files, or any other game file.

Crash/Bug reports

Use the "Save bug reports"-Button in the launchers "Log"-Tab to save the log and crash files of your session.

When the game crashed make sure to save the report before restarting the game.

Uploading these reports in the Discord bug report channel is really helpful for us.
